They smile and they laugh,

But their eyes are like ice,

Their words like barbed wire,

And their hearts, cold as night.

They speak of loyalty,

But their actions betray,

Their words full of venom,

That they spew every day.

They pretend to care,

But their hearts are hollow,

Their kindness is false,

Their friendship, a sorrow.

They'll never be true,

These unfriendly friends,

Their souls are too dark,

To make amends.

So let them go,

These unfriendly friends,

For true friends are rare,

And worth the amends.
